Is anyone available to be our 4th player this morning at 10AM?

Ann

Yes. Will it be dry enough?

It showered earlier but the sun is out now and things are drying up. I think courts will be OK.

Ann

See you at 10!

Peg

I wish… But I can’t

It’s a busy time of year. There are few signups for indoor play tomorrow. How about 10:30 players come at 10, or earlier to make 4?

Cathy

Looking forward to playing pickle ball and seeing you all in late June. Thanks Cathy

I have added recurring outdoor games to our schedule so people can plan ahead. There are some 5PM games for after work, 3PM those who can play earlier, and 10AM when courts are predictably dry. The games in the gym will remain at the same time but we will play outdoors if weather permits. I can still post pop-up games for those who request a different time.

Once Mike decides upon drills and beginner sessions we can adjust as needed.

Somehow this always works out.😎

Sybil

Moretown used to help beginners on Wednesday afternoons. Is that still happening?

Not now. We have plans in the works for beginner clinics.

For now, advise beginners to just show up to watch, and if players have the time to offer instructions they will. We almost always have spare paddles to share, and, most often, players to instruct and welcome newbies.

Weather is improving for outdoor games. If you have a preferred day or time let me know and I will post a game for you.

Yay May!

Ann

Tuesday AM 10:00 til it gets hot. We always had Thursday AM. Let’s do that again!😊

Hello, I am interested in a beginner clinic. Is there something happening this spring that could introduce me to the sport?

GMCF offers beginner workshops: https://gmcf.life/ Also, Catamount Pickleball does too: https://www.catamountpickleball.com/. I've done workshops at both places and both are fun, welcoming and informative. Hope that helps.

Moretown will offer beginner clinics starting the end of May and posted to this event page.
Warren will also offer beginner clinics when they start outdoor play. Those events are posted to the Warren page. You can sign into their page of events separately by adding them to your Playeronline account

Hi Toni,

Mike is correct the Warren group is going to offer several clinics for new players. I expect the first one will be on Sunday afternoon in May at the Warren courts. I will post to the Warren group and have emails from a number of people who are interested. I will also post on FPF.

GMCF will be offering a beginner clinic sponsored by AARP. It is this Thursday 5-7 at GMCF indoors in Berlin. Here is a link to sign up.

I will be up at the court at 2:00 - it it is too wet to play, how about taking a hike around the trails behind the school? Wear good hiking shoes, just in case!!!
