Hi Everybody! There are only 3 of us signed up for tomorrow morning (Friday). Anyone else available to make a game? Or even tomorrow afternoon?

Peg

I would love to, but I am out of town. Have fun!

We still have a stretch of great weather this week. I am adding the indoor games to the schedule so we will be ready. Here are some guidelines for indoor play. Sorry it is so long…

INDOOR PICKLEBALL

We have many players and limited time and space for indoors. The gym only offers one court. We will divide the scheduled time into two slots which will appear on our weekly schedule labeled as INDOOR PLAY. (The outdoor game schedule will continue and we will adjust times around daylight and weather conditions.)

6 players may sign up for each of the indoor slots. Please DO NOT sign IN if there are already 6 signed up. Please sign up for only ONE of the indoor time slots on a given day. When your time is up, please yield the court to the arriving players. If the arriving players are short a player I am sure you can sort out who will remain to continue play. Let’s try to be fair in how many games slots we sign up for in advance so all will have the opportunity to play.

We will not be dividing play by skill level. Those beginner, intermediate and advanced players who want to play with ONLY those on the same level have opportunities in Warren, at Green Mountain Community Fitness, and Montpelier Rec. Department.

We have always managed to “Play and Have Fun” and I am confident this will continue.. I have reviewed past winter participation and we were rarely over capacity and a times needed a 4th player. (On Playerlineup, go to schedule - monthly calendar - and scroll back to see.) I am anticipating that we will adjust going forward as fewer players sign IN.

Tuesday indoor time is limited. We have the gym from 5-6:30. We can get there early to set up the net. We must vacate the gym at 6:30 for an adult soccer group. (They have been playing on the baseball field all summer!) Hopefully we can break down the net in record time!

Sunday indoor play is longer. We have the gym from 9-11 AM and can go longer. The side door closest to the street unlocks automatically at 8:50 and locks at 9:15? If you arrive beyond that time call the cell phone of someone who is inside to have them open the door for you. You can also knock, but may not be heard inside the gym.

Please do not enter the school unless you have given me your signed waiver and I have had time to turn it in to the school with your payment.

I hope this information is helpful and not too confusing. Please contact me with any questions you may have.

Susan, since we only have one court inside for winter maybe we could think about on Sundays when play is from 9 am to 11am , perhaps one hour can be for intermediate players and the other hour for open play players, keeping in mind there are up to six players for each hour of court time, this would probably be fair for all players, what are your thoughts?? happy foliage ......
