New update on court access:

Just spoke to Ray Washburn who is overseeing the work at school parking lot. He said:

WEEKDAYS
WALK-ACCESS ONLY on weekdays until 5:30

Cars can drive back to fields after 5:30 during the week.

WEEKENDS
Drive back to fields is OK during day and evening ( no large trucks are delivering materials on the weekend). Work still being done but not so busy. Be cautious.

I am moving 5 PM games to 6 PM until work is done.

Moretown Parking Lot Closed & Town Office Information

Announcement
Moretown Public Parking Lot will be closed for the next two weeks during the hours of 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., due to construction of the parking lot as well as contractors coming to the school to clean up flood debris. Please DO NOT entire the parking lot during those hours to go up to the recreation field/forest. If you want to use the recreation fields/forest, please find alternate parking (not along the road please). This is for the safety of all people.

The Town Office will also be closed to the public for the next two weeks. It is not closed for business. We will be here in the office during regular business hours (other than when the power is shut off sometime next week TBD, working remotely) and will make accommodations to meet peoples needs. This is also due to the safety of all people.

Please remember to contact 211 for any flood related damages to your property. This is to your benefit as well as the state being declared a disaster. This is the first step you must take in order to get any FEMA funding once and if declared a disaster.

Please be aware of temporary parking restrictions. The parking lot is a staging area for materials needed for road repair. There is heavy truck traffic in and out of the lot. Daytime parking is now NOT PERMITTED. Players arriving after 5 can pull in and drive back to the courts to park near ahead and along the driveway. For 9 AM players, there is parking at the town hall, at old library(2 spaces), maybe at the store?

I assume on weekends we could drive thru and park.

This is only temporary.

We have all been impacted, in some degree, by flooding. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.

My son brought up Organic garlic scapes from his organic farm, much too many for me to use up, I will bring a bunch to pickle ball tomorrow to give away if any one is interested , please let me know and I will bring them
